Our providers are all specialized in pediatrics and have extensive experience treating children.

Richard McGill, DO, FAAP

Dr. Richard McGill is a board certified pediatrician with over 25 years of experience in both primary care, newborn, hospital, and emergency medicine. His goals for opening KidsFirst Children's Urgent Care is to reduce fees associated with ERs and after-hour care visits while providing specialized pediatric care.

Dr. McGill is originally from Knoxville, TN but has been in upper east TN for the last 25 years. He was the owner of KidsFirst Pediatrics in Greeneville, TN for 17 years. He is currently a faculty member at LMU's DeBusck College of Osteopathic Medicine. In his free time you will find him working on the farm or spending time with his 4 kids.

Logan Thomas, CPNP-PC

Logan is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who graduated from ETSU and Tennessee Tech last summer. Before becoming a PNP, she worked as and Registered Nurse in multiple pediatric settings, including the PICU and the Pediatric ER.

Logan is from the Johnson City area and looks forward to being able to serve the community she calls home! In her free time she enjoys being active with her husband and their two fur babies, Moose and Sammie. She is also an active member of Risen Life Fellowship and loves teaching the preschool Sunday School class!

Abigail Nieman, CPNP-PC

Abby is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville for nursing school and then completed her Nurse Practitioner education at Vanderbilt University in 2018. Her previous practice experience includes Pedaitric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Asthma. Before becoming a PNP, she worked as and Registered Nurse in the pediatric primary care setting.

Abby is originally from Knoxville and relocated to the area for her Husbands job. In her free time she enjoys reading a good book, doing all things active/outdoors and spending time with her husband and two kids. She is an active member of Redeemer Community Church in Johnson City and dedicates her free time to volunteering with Young Life.

Jackie Oliver, CPNP-AC

Jackie is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who grew up in western North Carolina. She attended Western Carolina University for nursing school and then completed her nurse practitioner education at Vanderbilt University. Jackie has cared for children for almost 15 years and loves seeing them learn and grow.

In her spare time she enjoys swimming, crafting, and reading. Along with her husband Jesse, she is an avid sports fan who cheers for the NC TarHeels ACC basketball and TN Vols SEC football teams. Jackie and Jesse also love to travel. When they aren't watching games, you'll find them camping, hiking, or on a beach somewhere.
